My Sister~Prayers

A few weeks ago my twin sister found a lump in her throat and immediately called me panicked. For those of you that know my sister, this is very typical behavior:). She asked me to put my hand on my throat and feel 5 fingers from the top to see if I felt anything "strange". I did not but she did. She had a grape size lump in her neck that just kind of "showed up" one day. She saw an ENT who sent her in for scans and MRI's to figure out what it was. She was told it was most likely nothing, a cyst if anything but none the less it needed to be removed. She had the lump removed and we waited impatiently for the results. It was cancer, thyroid cancer. She was told the chance of it being cancer were small, less than 5% but that did not matter. She has it. She went to Sloan-Kettering last Thursday for the preliminary workup and will have to go in to have the thyroid removed. To all my blogger friends that pray, please pray for Tara.

I will keep her in my prayers. Several years ago my grandmother had thyroid cancer, just as you described. They removed 2/3 of her thyroid. Followed up with treament and was fine. I hope your sister has the same outcome.
